NISC’s DERMS Partnership Program Enhanced with Addition of Emulate

Lake Saint Louis, Mo., May 9, 2024 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of software solutions to broadband and utility providers, announced the expansion of its DERMS Partnership Program through an agreement with Emulate, a leading provider of Distributed Energy Management Resource Solutions (DERMS).

“Our Members are continuing to experience increases in consumers adopting Distributed Energy Resources (DER),” said David Bonnett, NISC Chief Solutions Officer. “Now, more than ever, they need a solution to help them better understand and manage these resources, and we’re thrilled to partner with leading DERMS providers like Emulate to provide our Members a way to manage this.”

“The increase in intermittent renewables introduces volatility that can be managed by leveraging the growing number of residential distributed energy resources,” said Shwan Lamei, CEO of Emulate Energy. “These resources will play a key role in reducing energy transition costs. Ensuring a world-class consumer experience is key to our approach. Our partnership with NISC will enable co-ops to fully harness the power of DER — I am excited to bring these benefits to co-ops through NISC’s exceptional software solutions.”

NISC launched its DERMS Partnership Program in 2023 as a way for the organization’s Application Programming Interfaces (API) to integrate with leading DERMS providers for an end-to-end solution. The program includes integration with key NISC solutions that enable DER management like NISC Marketing, Multi-Channel Messenger, Meter Data Management and SmartHub.

Emulate is targeting September 2024 for the availability of their integration with NISC Members.
