NISC Focuses on Taking Solutions into the Future

New Solutions, Features Unveiled at the 2018 Member Information Conference

Saint Louis, Mo., Sept. 12, 2018 — National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) is celebrating 50 years of business at the Member Information Conference (MIC) this week in St. Louis, Mo. While the celebration is focused on the past, NISC’s solutions look to the future with new features and products being showcased over the course of the conference.

“While we pause to celebrate 50 years in the technology industry at this year’s MIC, we have to ensure our solutions continue to focus on the future,” said Vern Dosch, President and CEO of NISC. “We want to make sure we’re staying ahead of the curve and continuing to deliver solutions that will help our Members do their jobs efficiently and effectively.”

This week, NISC released a modernized design and new, enhanced functionality for iVUE Mosaic, a tool to help users make better business decisions by better leveraging data to identify trends. The new design provides an enhanced user experience allowing users to gain new insights from their data with more than 300 pieces of standardized content right out of the box.

NISC Operations Analytics (OA) is another new NISC solution, helping engineers and system operators of electric systems harness the granularity of time-series data for better decision making. OA, along with EDD’s Distributed Engineering Workstation (DEW), enables users to look beyond peak system analysis to better grasp real system performance and provide better service to members, increased savings in their operations and better management of their electrical grid.

iVUE Connect is helping carry NISC’s enterprise platform into the future. iVUE Connect – Service’s functionality continues to grow with the addition of delinquent collections functionality, available now, and cashiering features to be released later this year. iVUE Connect – Service with Broadband Functionality is playing a major role in helping provide fiber internet service to customers across the country. During the MIC, NISC is also showcasing the first module of iVUE Connect – Financials, the HR module, and discussing the future of the solution supporting telecom voice services, expected to be released in 2019.

“iVUE Connect is the future of NISC,” said Dan Wilbanks, COO and Vice President of Research, Development and Quality for NISC. “Technology is changing so quickly, and iVUE Connect can help us quickly adapt to those changes by continuing to roll out new features quickly in a way that’s accessible anytime, anywhere.”

SmartHub, NISC’s web and mobile app for end users, can help Members with upcoming service rollouts. Combined with LeadAgent functionality, SmartHub helps Members engage their customers in grassroots efforts to spread news of upcoming services by helping Members determine the areas in their communities with the most interest and driving customer demand for new products.

Along with the new crowdsourcing functionality, NISC’s LeadAgent introduced new incentive compensation management features. Incentive compensation management provides the ability to pay commissions based on Closed/Won opportunities in LeadAgent. Minimum sales goals can be established before paying commissions and commission percentages can be tiered based on the total sales. Roll-up of all sales to a sales manager is also available for calculation of commission at a manager or supervisor level.

“This week has been an opportunity to reflect on our tremendous growth, however, the work doesn’t stop there,” Dosch said. “New enhancements and functionality will continue to drive NISC’s solutions today and into the future.”
