NISC Connects with Members at National Conferences

Lake Saint Louis, Mo., March 10, 2022 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of software solutions to utility and broadband companies, made its Membership the focus during NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association’s Rural Telecom Industry Meeting & Expo (RTIME) Feb. 13-16 in Dallas, Texas, and NRECA’s TechAdvantage Experience & Expo March 7-9 in Nashville, Tenn.

NISC sponsored and exhibited at both events. In addition, the cooperative also held Annual Membership Updates at each event. Themed “Focus,” the updates featured a presentation by NISC President and CEO Dan Wilbanks on financial performance, the latest NISC tools and solutions for Members and their end users, and how NISC’s dedicated focus on its Membership will drive innovation into the future.

“To summarize what we are all about: We work with purpose,” Wilbanks said in his address to the Membership. “Our purpose is to support you with the technology you need to support your communities. Technology can be messy. A strong partnership gets over the bumps and leads into the future. A partnership that is Member owned and Member focused. That is the role we play—to be intentional in our purpose of helping you serve your communities and to be the best partner possible for your success.”

NISC’s presence at both events provided invaluable opportunities to connect with Members in person, and share important updates.

“NISC is built on a foundation of long-term relationships with our Members. Opportunities such as these events to connect in person are invaluable in maintaining and strengthening those partnerships,” Wilbanks said. “We’re continuously working to provide value to our Members, such as cybersecurity resources, crowdsourcing and campaign management tools, and enhanced SmartHub marketing materials. It’s important that we share about those efforts, as well as about the exciting innovations to come.”

Attendees received an update on the recent Director Election for NISC’s Board, the results of a special election held to fill a vacated seat in District 7 and the naming of a new Executive Committee. The Director elected for District 7 is Tom Walch, CEO of Grand Valley Power in Grand Junction, Colo. Director Walch will finish out the preexisting term, which will expire at the annual meeting in 2024.
