Selensky Named NISC Vice President of Finance

Lake Saint Louis, Mo., January 15, 2024 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of IT solutions to broadband and utility organizations, has named Fred Selensky Vice President of Finance.

Selensky has served NISC’s Members for almost 29 years, beginning his career at NISC in 1995. He spent his first six years implementing and supporting NISC’s Financials solutions at NISC Member offices. In 2001, Selensky accepted a position as NISC Controller, where he helped guide the organization through more than 20 financial audits.

Selensky was promoted to Director of Finance in 2022. He holds an MBA degree from the University of North Dakota and a CPA certification.

“Employee development, including leadership development, is valued at NISC,” said Doug Remboldt, NISC President and CEO. “Fred knows NISC’s finances, he knows our employees and he knows our Members. I’ve watched Fred progress in his career by passionately serving those around him. I’m excited for Fred in this new role, and I look forward to working closely with him as a key member of our Vice President Team.”

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve our Members and employees in this role,” Selensky said. “NISC has a strong history of financial stability, and I look forward to continuing our tradition of putting our Members first in all that we do.”

Selensky is succeeding longtime NISC Vice President Tracy Porter, who plans to retire in the coming months.

“I want to thank Tracy for his 31 years of service to our Members,” Remboldt said. “His leadership has seen the cooperative through tremendous growth, and I wish him the best in this next chapter.”

NISC’s Finance division is responsible for the accounting functions of NISC. This includes financial reporting, budgeting and financial forecasting, tax reporting, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. The PayAssist service, offered to Members for outsourcing their payroll, the building staff that manages the Mandan campus, as well as NISC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, iGEAR, are also part of the Finance division.
