Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Sept. 17, 2024 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of enterprise software and solutions to utility and broadband companies, kicked off its 2024 Member Information Conference (MIC) on Monday, Sept. 16, with NISC President and CEO Doug Remboldt taking the stage to address yet another record-breaking crowd. Almost 3,500 Members, guests, industry partners and NISC staff gathered for this premier learning event hosted at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The focus of Remboldt’s address was firmly on NISC’s pledge to the Membership: A pledge of being a valued partner committed to working alongside Members to solve challenges – together. NISC understands the challenges today, and partners with the NISC Membership to plan for the future. And the MIC is an event where NISC can showcase those technologies and innovation roadmaps.
At the very core of Remboldt’s message was customer service – and a reflection on NISC’s most recent Member satisfaction survey score of 4.85. Knowing most IT organizations would rejoice with a score as such, Remboldt reinforced the care shown for Members will continue to increase, with technological developments and empowered employees, which makes a huge difference in the overall Member experience.
“Our MIC theme this year is Focused Vision: Elevated Value,” said Remboldt. “I wanted to ensure we shared why that is important to NISC, the impact it has on our Members, and where we will be placing focus next year to increase the value NISC Members receive from our products and services.”
Information security is always a priority, another message Remboldt shared from the main general session stage. He discussed current initiatives to assist Members and their communities understand the importance of online security, harnessing technology such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and the importance of strong passwords.
Rounding out keynote address, Remboldt also discussed the value of voice Members have with NISC. NISC is not only a cooperative, but a technology partner that places great importance in Member feedback. The software releases throughout the year are based directly on what the NISC Membership has asked for to help them reach their goals and great efficiencies.
“There is nothing like stepping into a room filled with literally thousands of our Members, guests and partners,” said Remboldt. “It’s humbling to see people from across the country and beyond who use our solutions to help provide essential services to their communities. We take the role we play in this very seriously, and we will never stop striving to continually improve our products and services for the benefit of our Members and those they serve.”
The MIC is NISC’s premier learning event and will be held Sept. 16-19. The event is an excellent opportunity for NISC to learn more about industry challenges, unveil the newest technologies and share best practices to ensure all NISC Members are using the suite of enterprise solutions to the greatest potential. The four-day event will feature 170 concurrent sessions, with more than 50 of them being led by the Membership themselves.
