2022 NISC MIC: An Incredible Week of Learning Comes to a Close

Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 29, 2022 NISC Members and staff came together for powerful general sessions and engaging learning opportunities at the 2022 Member Information Conference (MIC), held Sept. 26-29 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn.

Over 3,000 NISC Members, partners and staff, a MIC record crowd, attended more than 140 sessions focusing on the latest enhancements of the NISC Enterprise System, including 41 Member-led sessions sharing best practices with fellow industry peers. Updates on the technology roadmap and issues and opportunities facing the utility and broadband industries were also spotlighted during the event.

NISC also welcomed 40 exhibiting partners and vendors in the Partner Pavilion, showcasing a variety of solutions and services valuable to Member organizations. The Partner Pavilion also housed the ever-popular NISC demonstration booth and Solutions Lab, where NISC subject matter experts showcased the latest NISC innovations.

“We had a terrific week with our Members,” said Dan Wilbanks, NISC President and CEO. “It was incredible to see a record-breaking crowd join us for four impactful days of learning, which just goes to show how excited our Members are to learn, collaborate and network with us. Our Members are the core of everything we do at NISC, and to have this opportunity to connect with them face-to-face was extremely valuable. We hope they’re leaving Nashville with new knowledge and strengthened relationships with NISC employees and their fellow peers.”

In addition to a week of dynamic learning, MIC 2022 also included:

Co-op Strong

Attendees supported the Nashville community through the Co-op Strong initiative, where participants made craft kits for children at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The goal was to complete 935 kits over two days at the conference, but participants enthusiastically completed 950 kits in just four hours. A registration fee for the initiative was collected to purchase the supplies for the craft kits, and along with donations and Co-op Strong t-shirt proceeds, more than $10,000 was donated to the hospital.

Activities
NISC hosted exclusive events allowing MIC attendees to explore the Nashville area, including tours such as a Grand Ole Opry Show, Best of Nashville Tour, Brews & BBQ Tour, and a Downtown Trolley Tour.

MICfest at Downtown Nashville
Attendees enjoyed an evening of music, food and fun at the legendary Wildhorse Saloon, one fourteen and Famous Nashville. The event included live music, a photo booth, games, live karaoke and stitch artists.
