Mandan, N.D., Sept. 30, 2026 — National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) has been recognized by Prairie Business magazine as one of the 50 Best Places to Work in the northern Plains. Employees throughout the region nominated their companies, highlighting some of the reasons they believe make their place of business a great place to work. Among the topics were workplace culture, opportunities for employee growth, teamwork and individual responsibility, and employee morale, among others. In all, Prairie Business received 1,377 nominations.

“We enjoy seeing so many participants in the annual contest,” said Prairie Business Editor Carrie McDermott. “It is great to see the many companies that have been here before, but also to see new names on the list. This goes to show that there are some outstanding companies in our region.”

This year’s 50 Best are highlighted in the September issue of the magazine, which is available as an e-edition at prairiebusinessmagazine.com.

NISC has also been awarded a Top Workplaces 2026 honor by Des Moines Register. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.
