2025 NISC MIC :: Wrapping Up 50 Years of IT Collaboration and Learning

Reflecting Upon a Week of Innovations and Education

Louisville, Ky, Sept. 25, 2025 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of enterprise software and solutions to energy and communications companies and public power entities, reflected on the last four days of intriguing general sessions and specially-tailored learning opportunities during the 2025 NISC Member Information Conference (MIC) in Louisville, Ky.

About 3,000 NISC Members, guests, partners and staff attended more than 180 sessions focusing on the latest enhancements of the NISC Enterprise System, including 45 Member-led sessions sharing best practices with fellow industry peers. Updates on the technology cooperative’s development and opportunities facing the energy and communications industries were also spotlighted during the event.

NISC also welcomed nearly 50 exhibiting partners and vendors in the Partner Pavilion, showcasing a variety of solutions and services valuable to Member organizations. The Partner Pavilion also housed the ever-popular NISC demonstration booth and Solutions Lab, where NISC subject matter experts showcased the latest NISC innovations.

“This year marks our 50th annual Member Information Conference. We’ve seen a lot of change in those five decades, but one thing hasn’t changed – the value our Members, partners and guests gain from attending,” said Doug Remboldt, NISC President and CEO. “The fact that thousands of people continue to come together year after year is a testament not only to the benefits of the conference, but the trust they place in NISC and our solutions.”

In addition to a week of dynamic learning and collaboration, the 2025 NISC MIC also included:

Combining donations and Co-op Strong t-shirt proceeds, $25,000 was raised and nearly 500 welcome kits were assembled.

Closing Keynote Speaker Mike Massimino
Massimino is a four-time spacewalker on two missions to the Hubble Space Telescope, including the final Hubble servicing mission which has been called the most dangerous and complex mission in space shuttle history. But he is more than an astronaut – he is a recurring character on The Big Bang Theory, a bestselling author, an engineering professor, an MIT Ph.D, and a popular guest on news and late-night television programs. Mike used humor and his unique storytelling ability to inspire the MIC audience to identify the passion in their work, use teamwork and innovation to solve problems, and provide leadership in the face of adversity.
