Mandan, N.D., Sept. 16, 2025 – National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of enterprise software and solutions to energy and communications companies, will host its premier learning event, the Member Information Conference (MIC), from Sept. 22-25 at the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) in Louisville, Ky. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the popular user conference.
NISC will be providing nearly 3,000 individuals from across the U.S. and Canada the opportunity to connect with NISC staff, network with their peers and enjoy a week of learning about the newest leading-edge technologies. The four-day event will feature a record-breaking 183 concurrent sessions, with 45 of them being led by the Membership themselves.
The annual event will kick off with an Opening General Session led by NISC’s President and CEO Doug Remboldt and guest speaker Ben Schreiner, Amazon Web Services Head of AI and Modern Data Strategy.
“The MIC is an event NISC Members as well as staff look forward to every year, not just because of the opportunity to learn, but also to connect and collaborate with industry peers,” Remboldt said. “The MIC is designed to bring together NISC Members from around the globe, the people keeping the lights on and ensuring our communities stay connected. They all share the same challenges, and the MIC brings all of that knowledge and experience into one location to work together on technological solutions and to support one another as they selflessly serve the communities they love.”
The theme for this year’s MIC is “ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY TOGETHER”. NISC formed a technological alliance with Members. They walk lockstep with them. Their needs become NISC’s needs. Their challenges become NISC’s challenges. Technology is the catalyst that can forever change the ways in which energy and communications companies care for and support the community they call home. And the MIC is an excellent opportunity for everyone to learn more about industry challenges, unveil the newest technologies and share best practices. This is an era of innovation – and it is led, quite simply, by NISC Members.
“The focus and the heart behind our IT cooperative – and the MIC – is to bring people together as a community and solve challenges together, and it works,” Remboldt said. “This is our 50th conference, and every year it continues to empower these individuals to return to their offices and continue to make an impact on their communities through excellent customer service and streamlined processes using technology that evolves with them.”

Co-op Strong at the 2025 MIC
NISC places great importance on focusing on all that we are fortunate to have and the experiences we get to live. Every year, it has become a tradition (in true co-op fashion) to give back via a Co-op Strong event for charity. With the 2025 MIC, Members, Partners, guests and employees will have the opportunity to give back by creating welcome kits for the Home of the Innocents and donating clothing for a virtual styling opportunity with Dress for Success® Louisville.

Closing Keynote Speaker Mike Massimino, a four-time spacewalker and bestselling author, will close out the MIC using humor and unique storytelling to inspire attendees to identify the passion in their work, use teamwork and innovation to solve problems, and provide leadership in the face of adversity.
