NISC Among Top 10 Places to Work in Bismarck-Mandan for the Third Consecutive Year

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) has been selected by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network as one of the Top 10 Places to Work in Bismarck-Mandan for the third consecutive year.
The ranking was a result of a membership survey that the Young Professionals Network conducted. As part of the survey, YP Network members were asked what they looked for in an employer and what they thought makes a great work environment. The Network then asked area employers to submit nominations for one of Bismarck-Mandan's Top Places to Work.
A selection committee then evaluated the nominations anonymously and ranked the employers according to innovation, benefits and inclusion of young professionals in the workplace. Also taken into consideration were the results of the survey. It found that the most important aspects young people consider when looking at employers are: competitive pay, flexible hours, continuing education/training, opportunities for advancement and a positive and supportive work environment. Recognition, employee participation, work-life balance and overall company mission were also cited as important factors.
NISC has been a member of the Bismarck-Mandan community for more than 40 years, and also operates an office in Lake St. Louis, Mo. Between the two locations, NISC employs more than 740 professionals who develop and support advanced software solutions for electric utilities, rural telephone companies and Fortune 100/500 corporations throughout the United States and Canada.
