Basin Electric Power Cooperative is a consumer-owned, regional cooperative headquartered in Bismarck, N.D. Basin Electric, a Touchstone Energy partner, produces clean energy for a healthy economy, based on the Ecowatts concept. Basin Electric operates electricity-generating power plants with a total capacity of 3,304 megawatts, and serves 117 rural electric member cooperative systems that in turn serve approximately 1.5 million consumers in the eight states of Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. NISC and Basin staffs actively pursue opportunities and implement initiatives that allow us to partner together on services and solutions to benefit our collective membership as well as our employees. |
